David Thompson retired in 2017 as an Associate Professor in the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology, OUHSC.  He served as Associate Director of the department’s Research Design and Analysis Center (BSE RDAC) and as Director of the Training Unit for the Oklahoma Shared Clinical and Translational Resource (OSCTR).  Dr. Thompson consulted on research design and statistical analysis for numerous projects in public health and clinical medicine, many of which employed statistical models that evaluated associations between outcomes and a variety of fixed, random, longitudinal and cross-sectional effects.  His research interests included longitudinal data analysis and approaches to hierarchical and correlated data, and he taught graduate courses in applied linear statistical models, outcomes research, nonparametric statistics, and longitudinal data analysis.
