Occupational & Environmental Health Researchers Are Seeking Volunteers for New Study

Dr. Margaret Phillips, PhD, CIH, and Dr. Jooyeon Hwang, Ph.D are researchers from the Department of Occupational and Environmental Health seeking volunteers for their new study on airborne contaminants in new large-scale poultry-feeding operations. Their study focuses on testing airborne contaminants inside and outside your house to determine how they affect your body. Over the course of the year, researchers will set up air monitors inside and outside of your house, collect nasal samples and ask a few questions. You must live within 3,000 feet of a facility and be at least 18 years old.
There will an information session meeting held via Zoom on Thursday, June 3 at 7pm. This meeting is intended to inform and identify individuals who may personally have interest - or know of others who may have interest - in participating in a study about Airborne Contaminants from Poultry Feeding Operations (PFOs) in Northeast Oklahoma.
