Health Administration and Policy Faculty Member Appointed to Oklahoma Medicaid Delivery System Quality Advisory Committee

Mark Woodring, an assistant professor for the Department of Health Administration and Policy and seasoned professional with a robust background in healthcare management, has been appointed to the newly formed Medicaid Delivery System Quality Advisory Committee by the Oklahoma Health Care Authority.

Woodring, known for his unwavering commitment to improving healthcare delivery for underserved communities, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. His career has been marked by a dedication to enhancing both the quality and financial performance of healthcare systems, with a primary focus on reducing health disparities.

Drawing from his leadership experience at another state Medicaid agency, where he played a pivotal role in supporting the transition to managed care, Woodring decided to heed the suggestion of friends and colleagues and apply for the position.
