The COVID-19 Committee (C19C) is a student-led committee that recruits and connects OUHSC students to COVID-19 projects and initiatives happening on campus. The C19C also recognizes student involvement in the fight to end the pandemic.
Jennifer Trejo Rojo, a second-year health promotion sciences’ student, helped coordinate community vaccination pods for the Latino community in Norman. She helped with contact tracing, complied and created COVID-19 vaccine messaging for the Cleveland County Health Dept (CCHD). She held educational presentations regarding COVID-19 and the vaccination to various organizations in Cleveland and McClain county. She also held a live online video presentation in Spanish to inform the Spanish speaking community about COVID-19, vaccinations, and addressing concerns. She worked at the mega pods with CCHD and IMMY, providing translation services.
If you are a student who has been (or is) involved in the fight to end the pandemic, please connect with the C19C at https://bit.ly/3sFuR8z to have your contributions recognized.
