The COVID-19 Committee (C19C) is a student-led committee that recruits and connects OUHSC students to COVID-19 projects and initiatives happening on campus. The C19C also recognizes student involvement in the fight to end the pandemic.
Emma Bowler, a bachelor of public health student, volunteered for the OU-Norman Johnson and Johnson mass vaccination clinic in the OU Armory on March 26, 2022. She helped vaccination distribution to students by retrieving the vaccines from the retrieval site and preparing them for the medical students to administer. She also helped check-in the students and faculty, and visited with them while they were waiting and receiving the vaccine. “It was a great learning experience as a public health student and I enjoyed being able to help members of the community during a trying time in the world”, said Emma.
If you are a student who has been (or is) involved in the fight to end the pandemic, please connect with the C19C at https://bit.ly/3sFuR8z to have your contributions recognized.
