C19C Student Feature: Austin McCauley

The COVID-19 Committee (C19C) is a student-led committee that recruits and connects OUHSC students to COVID-19 projects and initiatives happening on campus. The C19C also recognizes student involvement in the fight to end the pandemic.

Austin McCauley, a medical student in the OU College of Medicine, was one of the student leaders for the Unity Clinic’s Vaccine Outreach Strike Team. Austin worked with community partners to plan and execute vaccine clinics, targeting marginalized communities within Oklahoma City. He also frequently administered vaccines at clinics and helped train students on how to administer COVID-19 vaccines.
